Programs
AAPO hosts special programming to showcase scholars of color, build community, and provide opportunities to socialize among peers.
First Friday Lecture Series
The lecture series provides an opportunity for the public and the Texas A&M community to learn more about the work and research of faculty and staff of color at the university. Our objective is to showcase the diverse research, scholarships, and contributions employees of color bring to the university in a lecture, workshop and/or seminar format.
Community Check-Ins
The university is constantly changing, and we want our members to stay up to date on those changes through conversations and lunch. Some of those lunches will include special guests from departments across campus at all levels. Check-ins are all about you and how you're doing as a Texas A&M University employee.
Socials & Special Events
The African American Professional Organization takes Work-Life Balance seriously, and we host a variety of Welcome Socials, End-of-Semester Socials, Holiday Soirees, and get-togethers. We also collaborate with other faculty, staff, and graduate student organizations across campus to provide opportunities for our members to socialize and connect.
